ROBERT E. WESSMAN, MHA, PMP

Bob Wessman has joined Grant & Grant in providing business advisory and consulting services to our clients in a personal, effective and cost-efficient manner. He will focus on providing practical advice and services that will make clients more profitable and efficient.

Over his 30 year career, Bob has gained extensive experience in healthcare management, sales, marketing, business strategy, mergers and acquisitions and small business start-up.  General management with profit and loss responsibility has spanned from micro-businesses to Fortune 500 companies.  He is a leader with hands-on experience in the strategic, financial and operational aspects of leading a business.

Bob’s healthcare career involved executive level management in a variety of settings from small rural hospitals to large multi-hospital systems and included appointments at the Vice President and CEO level.  In addition to healthcare, he has worked in direct sales and corporate marketing and was a Director at FirstEnergy Corp in

Ohio where he managed teams that acquired and sold businesses for FirstEnergy.  When FirstEnergy acquired GPU in the year 2000, he served as chairperson of two merger integration teams and subsequently managed the corporate operations of South American holdings until their sale.

Project management has been a central part of Bob’s career with experience in over 25 significant projects ranging from a $9 million construction project to a mainframe computer upgrade/installation to the implementation of a corporate-wide customer relations program.  His project management skills have been proven with the ability to manage large, complex projects having corporate-wide impact.   His project management focus is on project results and accountability to senior management.  Bob has been certified by the Project Management Institute as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).   He is a member of the Project Management Institute and the PMI Piedmont Triad Chapter.

Bob holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration from

Concordia

College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from the


University of

Minnesota .
